My Sicilian heritage certainly influences my belief that the secret to cooking and to living a passionate life
is much the same. With both, you must respect the integrity of the ingredients. Vegetables carefully selected
in season from a local garden. Fresh fish taken from source to serving without delay. Every dish simply and perfectly
prepared to allow the true flavor of the food to be savored. As with the best of life's pleasures, there is no
pretentious effort or unnecessary addition to distract from the purity of the gastronomic gift. One cannot truly
make food taste better, any more than one can truly create passion. Food and passion both express themselves through
